Liturgical Ministries

These ministries are referred to as the "Liturgical Ministries" because they assist the Pastor of the Parish in leading the parish in prayer, especially within the context of the Liturgy of the Mass.

If you are interested in joining one of these ministries or simply want to learn more about them, contact the parish office.

Altar Linens

These "Linen Warriors" launder and iron the purificators, altar cloths, corporals, towels, etc. used during Mass.  This is a ministry that can be done at home and on your own schedule. Instruction provided.

Altar Server

Servers assist the priest during Mass. Training is provided. Open to children ten years and above who have received their First Communion.

Art & Liturgical Environment

Your work in this ministry will enhance the prayerful environment of the church by providing for banners (design & sewing), table coverings, floral arrangements and other decorations appropriate for the celebration and liturgical season.

Eucharistic Minister

Extraordinary Ministers of Communion assist with the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and to the sick and homebound. Ministers must be 16 years or older and have received the Sacrament of Confirmation (or be enrolled in the preparation program for Confirmation). Training provided.

Lector

The Lector proclaims the Scriptures at Mass (and other services) and announces the General Intercessions. This ministry is open to men and women who are 16 years or older and who have received the Sacrament of Confirmation (or are enrolled in the preparation program for Confirmation).

Master of Ceremonies

The Master of Ceremonies assists the priest at Mass, ensuring the flow of the liturgy and guiding the various ministers in the performance of their duties. Open to men, women and mature youth.

 Music / Choir

The opportunities for men, women, and mature youth who desire to assist the liturgical assembley in song are numerous.  Singers, cantors, and instrumentalists are needed for the weekend Masses, weddings, funerals. Penance Services, and the like. Participation in rehearsals is a requirement.

Sacristan

Duties include preparing the sacred vessels, vestments, and altar for Mass, and cleaning up afterward. Training is provided and the time commitment is 20-25 minutes once or twice a month.

Ushers/Greeters

These volunteers are an integral part of our Welcoming Ministry. Not only do they greet people with a smile and a song book as the enter, they also assist in seating visitors and newcomers, passing the collection basket, tend to visitors who need a little extra assistance, hand out bulletins at the end of Mass, and help tidy the worship space between Masses.

Do one small thing with great love and faith. This will make all the difference.
