A Message from Fr. Matthew O'Leary, Pastor

Greetings and Welcome to Holy Disciples Catholic Church!

Holy Disciples is a new and energetic parish of the Catholic Archdiocese of Seattle. Founded on the South Hill of Puyallup, Washington, in 1996, this community has steadily grown to nearly 1,100 households. Here we have people from all parts of the Catholic world.

We follow the Good News that is the Gospel of Jesus Christ—the way the truth and the life (John 14:6). We are faithful to the Apostolic tradition of devoting ourselves to the teaching of the Apostles, the communal life, the breaking of bread, and prayer (Acts 2:42).

Our very name—Holy Disciples—is unique to us in all the world, and says what we are about. Jesus instructed his followers, "Go and make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19). We celebrate the goodness of God, share the Good News of the Gospel, and carry forth the mission of the Church to our community and the world.

We have been entrusted, through Baptism, to bear the Light of Christ, and to be faithful stewards of the Faith and Traditions about Jesus handed on to us by our fathers and mothers in faith. As citizens of Heaven (Philippians 3:20) and ambassadors of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20), it is his Gospel that moves our hearts to act in his name.

At Holy Disciples, we deepen our discipleship by offering our time to participate in worshiping the Lord and serving the parish community, our talent to help spread the Gospel and further the ministries of the Church, and our treasure to help build up our parish as a growing community of faith.

We hope you will visit us and join our parish community.
May God pour out blessings and peace upon you and your loved ones.

Blessings and Peace, in Christ,
Rev. Matthew L. O'Leary Pastor
