Marriage Preparation

Couple intending to receive the Sacrament of Marriage in the Catholic Church are required to complete
formal Marriage Preparation - either in the form of classes, a sponsored retreat weekend, individual instruction,
or a combination of these. Couples are usually mentored by mature Catholic couples as well.

At Holy Disciples, we encourage couples to attend a Betrothed weekend retreat sponsored by the Archdiocese of Seattle
or a retreat with Catholic Engaged Encounter. There is also an online, on-demand Catholic marriage prep option.
